BRONZE JEWELLERY

Unpatinated

Bronze is a strong alloy made mostly of copper with a small amount of tin (10-12%).

It has a warm, golden colour, with gentle reddish undertones that deepen beautifully as it ages, and also offers mild natural antibacterial properties.

Bronze first appeared around 3500–3000 BCE, marking the start of the Bronze Age.

Widely used in Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Europe, bronze jewellery symbolised status and protection and has adorned people for over 5,000 years.

Those who prefer the brighter, golden hue of new bronze can easily restore it the same way as bare copper - with a little lemon juice or vinegar diluted in water.
