COPPER JEWELLERY
Unpatinated and patinated/antiqued
Copper - one of the oldest metals used by humanity, dating back over 8,000 years - is a beautiful, malleable metal with a bright, rosy glow.
It's also naturally antimicrobial and antibacterial, and one of the most sustainable materials, as it can be recycled indefinitely without losing any quality.
Through natural oxidation, its rosy hue deepens as it gradually develops a warm reddish-brown patina. And over much longer periods - especially when exposed to moisture, air pollutants, or the elements - it can form the characteristic green-blue patina known as verdigris, famously seen on historic buildings, statues, and ancient artifacts.
Those who prefer the fresh rosiness of new copper can easily restore untreated copper with a little lemon juice or vinegar diluted in water. Please see Jewellery Care page for more information.
